what we believe

One God

There is one and only one living and true God. He is an intelligent, spiritual, and personal Being, the Creator, Redeemer, Preserver, and Ruler of the universe. God is infinite in holiness and all other perfections. God is all powerful and all knowing; and His perfect knowledge extends to all things, past, present, and future, including the future decisions of His free creatures. To Him we owe the highest love, reverence, and obedience. The eternal triune God reveals Himself to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, with distinct personal attributes, but without division of nature, essence, or being.

(Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19)

Jesus Christ

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God, conceived by the
Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, and is true God and true man. The Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures as a perfect representative and complete substitutionary sacrifice; and that all who believe on Him are justified on the basis of His shed blood. We believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord; His ascension into heaven; that He is seated at the Father's right hand; and in His present life is there for us as High Priest, Advocate, and Head of the Church.

(Luke 1:30-35, John 1:1-18; Romans 5:8-10; I Timothy 2:5-6; Hebrews 4:15; John 20:1-29; Acts 1:9-11; Ephesians 1:20-23)

the scriptures

We believe the Scriptures of the Old and New Testament are divinely inspired by God and
inerrant in the original writings, and that they are the supreme and final authority in faith and
life.

(II Timothy 3:16-17; II Peter 1:20-21)

man

We believe that man was created in the image of God, that he sinned and thereby incurred
not only physical death but also spiritual death which is separation from God. Hence, totally
depraved, man has inherited and possesses a sinful nature.

(Genesis 1:26-27; 2:16-17; Romans 3:10-23)

Salvation

We believe that a person is born again by a personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ; that at
regeneration, all believers in this age are also indwelt by the Holy Spirit, baptized by the Spirit
into the body of Christ, and sealed by the Holy Spirit, which signifies eternal security unto the
day of redemption.

(Romans 10:9-10; Romans 8:11; I Corinthians- 12:3; Ephesians 4:30)

End times

God, in His own time and in His own way, will bring the world to its appropriate end. According to His promise, Jesus Christ will return personally and visibly in glory to the earth; the dead will be raised; and Christ will judge all men in righteousness. The unrighteous will be consigned to Hell, the place of everlasting punishment. The righteous in their resurrected and glorified bodies will receive their reward and will dwell forever in Heaven with the Lord.

(I Thessalonians 4:13-18; Zechariah 14:1-21)

"Devote yourselves to prayer, keeping alert in it with an attitude of thanksgiving; praying at the same time for us as well, that God will open up to us a door for the word, so that we may speak forth the mystery of Christ, for which I have also been imprisoned; that I may make it clear in the way I ought to speak. Conduct yourselves with wisdom toward outsiders, making the most of the opportunity. Let your speech always be with grace, as though seasoned with salt, so that you will know how you should respond to each person."

Colossians 4:2-6
